NetSuite Functional Consultant (Project Management)

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Remote / EST

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Functional Consultant with strong Project Management skills
experience to lead and deliver NetSuite implementations, optimizations, and integrations for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who can function as both a hands-on functional expert and a client- facing project lead, owning delivery from discovery through go-live. You will work directly with client stakeholders (CFOs, Controllers, Ops leaders), internal developers, and offshore teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and on budget.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead NetSuite implementations and post-go-live optimizations across:

  • Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets)

  • Order-to-Cash

  • Procure-to-Pay

  • Inventory & Advanced Inventory

  • Projects / Project Accounting (as applicable)

  • Conduct discovery sessions and business process reviews

• Translate business requirements into:

  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

  • Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
    

• Configure NetSuite to meet business requirements (workflows, saved searches, forms, roles,
  dashboards)

• Partner closely with NetSuite developers on customizations and integrations (e.g., Avalara, SPS,
  Celigo, Procore)

• Project Management

• Own end-to-end project delivery using Agile or hybrid methodologies

• Build and manage:
  o Project plans
  o Timelines
  o Resource allocations
  o Risks, issues, and dependencies
  

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during delivery

• Manage scope control, change requests, and client expectations

• Run weekly status meetings and provide executive-level reporting

• Coordinate work across US and offshore teams

Client & Internal Collaboration

• Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders

• Align stakeholders on priorities, scope, and success criteria

• Support pre-sales activities as needed (scoping, estimates, solutioning)

• Contribute to internal playbooks, templates, and delivery standards

What You’ll Need:

• 3–7+ years of NetSuite functional consulting experience

• Proven experience managing NetSuite projects as a Project Manager or Delivery Lead

• Strong understanding of accounting and finance operations

• Experience leading multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams

• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar delivery frameworks

• Ability to manage scope, change control, and client expectations effectively

• Experience with integrations and middleware (Celigo strongly preferred)

• Background in consulting or professional services environments

• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams
