The Net Zero Billing Lead will work directly with the the Head of Business Improvement and will bring greater rigour to the end to end billing process for Net Zero – designing processes and a control framework to ensure accurate and timely billing to retail customers and commercial partners. In addition, the Billing Lead will play a central role in designing the future billing process for all Net Zero products.
Key Accountabilities of the role:

Focus on the accuracy of Net Zero invoicing, to deliver timely and accurate billing for Net Zero customers

Understand existing billing processes and issues, company standards, policies and procedures and design new robust processes for NZ, delivering tactical fixes, whilst developing the requirements for longer-term technical solutions

Implement a robust control framework, exception management and governance to deliver strong financial outcomes for Net Zero

Develop and maintain billing and payment MI to enable financial tracking and robust decision-making around credit control activities

Shape billing requirements for Fusion (and wider systems architecture) to ensure consideration and integration of billing processes in end to end journey design

Support Commercial and Service Partner Managers with billing expertise, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payment

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across and beyond the Business Unit to ensure coherent billing practices

Advise on strategy and design for the future billing function across NB&NZ
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
-
Billing expert with strong understanding of billing structures, processes and controls

Highly experienced in Financial management and KPI reporting

Strong technical background, comfortable operating across multiple digital systems including Salesforce and SAP

Excellent understanding of the commercial aims and objectives

Have an ability to create and maintain strong working relationships remotely with colleagues internally, off-shore and externally, and be able to influence those relationships to achieve desired outcomes

Experience of practical delivery of transformation and change management skills
