The RoleWe are looking for a strong .NET lead developer who will help us expand and maintain variety of cloud native and legacy software applications. In this role, you will help with software development, software architecture, software solutions and software delivery. You will be a hands-on leader setting examples with demonstrated proof of concepts, reference implementations and will prepare architectural guides and present the work. You will be a key member of the Casualty Software Engineering team, and will share design, development, and support responsibilities within the team.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes sound knowledge of object-oriented architecture and design principles in developing secure, robust, performant, and scalable software solutions.
  • Employ technical and thought leadership to drive products from inception to release.
  • Write correct, well-factored code that is testable and maintainable, and that demonstrates best practices.
  • Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and/or calculate information to fulfill data and application requirements.
  • Administration and coordination of web services, FTP, and B2B data integration.
  • Conduct technical research as necessary to develop and refine product concept.
  • Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum talent.
  • Keep up with modern technology development and capabilities that can be leveraged within the applications.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that the solution meets business needs.
  • Create and foster team spirit.


 

Requirements:

  • 7 years of technical experience in object-oriented software development.
  • 3 years of experience developing cloud native services using Azure or other public cloud
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with C#, .NET, MVC, Web Services, REST APIs, MS SQL, CI/CD, Document Storage technologies, Messaging Systems etc.
  • Hands-on experience working with UI Frameworks, like Angular, Vue etc.
  • Experience with architecting distributed systems which are highly scalable, available and fault tolerant.
  • Familiar with security requirements, service-oriented architecture, and design patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to give estimates for new features based on minimal requirements / specifications, to prioritize and break down work into milestones and sprints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a drive to improve engineering architecture and processes.
  • 2-4 years of relevant leadership experience preferred.
  • Be able to acquire and adapt new skills quickly in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations and demos to the team and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitating knowledge, coaching and mentoring within the team is a big plus.
