We are looking for a National Distribution Manager for our Food Service France department, based in Villeneuve d'Ascq.
Reporting to the Food Service France Sales Director, with whom you will work closely, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national Food Service distributors, with the goal of optimizing sales volumes to improve the company's profitability. You will contribute to the development of the commercial policy.
JOB PURPOSE:
You will develop profitable growth in the Food Service business under the McCain brand: you will grow the existing business stream, increase brand market share, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive promotional dynamics with a focus on profitability. You will ensure the optimization of agreements and the proper dissemination of information internally. You will strive to achieve profitability and volume objectives in line with the company's strategy.
Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate national agreements within the framework of the commercial policy and delegated mandate, collaborating with the legal department to ensure the legal validation of the strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for sales growth, develop the annual plan, and propose necessary development measures and actions.
  • Develop the Joined Business Plan.
  • Ensure that the objectives defined are met through the quality of negotiated trade-offs: assortment (including new products), promotion, digital, sales statistics, etc.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations to develop long-term relationships.
  • Identify client needs and propose, in collaboration with the Category Manager, a non-transactional partnership approach, including category analyses, assortment recommendations, promotional analysis, highlighting the CSR strategy, etc.
  • Establish a concrete network with identified decision-makers (chains, GT) in the regions.
  • Be a driving force in the development of the company's commercial policy based on client knowledge and the competitive landscape.
  • Present the framework of agreements internally and mobilize the sales team around specific action plans in cooperation with regional directors.
  • Manage financial processes (sales tracking, budget management, and provisions) in collaboration with the team's Financial Analyst, and provide monthly or quarterly activity reporting to clients.
  • Ensure proper information sharing with management control, as you will be responsible for the client account profitability.
  • Participate in the development of monthly sales forecasts.


Your Profile:

  • You have a strong result-oriented culture, an ability to unite and convince others, and are analytical, organized, and recognized for your pragmatism.
  • You have advanced negotiation skills.
  • You have significant experience in commerce, ideally in Food Service.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong listening abilities.
  • You are proficient in IT tools (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Frequent travel will be required (30% of working time).
