The National Accounts Coordinator serves as a dedicated sales and customer service resource for Conn Selmer’s strategic national dealer accounts, with a primary focus on national accounts. Working closely with the National Accounts Manager, this position is responsible for providing fast, accurate, and responsive order management and account support while serving as a Conn Selmer representative for relationship and training purposes. The Coordinator will build strong relationships with dealer sales teams, provide product expertise, support product training and promotions, and identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen account relationships. This position combines national account customer service, dealer relationship management, and sales support and is an important part of Conn Selmer’s strategy for growing our distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day customer service contact for assigned national accounts.
  • Enter, manage, and monitor customer orders with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide clear communication regarding product availability, backorders, ETAs, and allocations.
  • Resolve order issues, returns, claims, and other customer service concerns.
  • Maintain accurate account information, documentation, and activity within D365 and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate pricing exceptions, promotions, and special programs in partnership with the National Accounts Manager and appropriate sales personnel.
  • Develop strong working relationships with buyers, managers, and sales staff for assigned accounts.
  • Respond to product questions and provide knowledgeable recommendations across Conn Selmer’s brass, woodwind, and percussion brands.
  • Help drive awareness and recommendation of Conn Selmer products amongst assigned dealer accounts.
  • Support new product launches, promotions, and other sales initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate monthly Conn Selmer product training in collaboration with Conn Selmer product management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product knowledge, sales engagement, and brand visibility within the account.
  • Prepare account analyses, opportunity summaries, and other sales-support materials.
  • Follow up on opportunities and action items resulting from dealer meetings, trade shows, and other account interactions.
  • Monitor sales trends and proactively identify account opportunities, challenges, and risks.
  • Provide timely information and insights to the National Accounts Manager to support account strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and programs designed to grow assigned national accounts.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a related role.
  • Experience in the music products industry or music retail is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with school band and percussion instruments is a plus.
  • Strong product knowledge, or the demonstrated ability to quickly develop expertise, across brass, woodwind, and percussion products.
  • Comfortable presenting products and information to a sales team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with D365, CRM systems, or similar business software.
  • Requires periods of sedentary work, daily standing and walking
  • Requires repetitive upper body movement – keyboard and monitor use
  • Visual and hearing acuity
