The National Account Manager to will support our Sam’s Club business and also support the seasonal business for Walmart. The National Account Manager will be responsible for achieving and/or exceeding key account sales goals for our Sam’s Club business, Walmart seasonal business, and develop accurate forecasts for the wholesale distribution of HARIBO of America products, optimize efficiencies, meet/exceed company sales objectives and profitability goals, and ensure our customer (Walmart Inc) needs are met.
The National Account Manager position is located on-site at the HARIBO of America office in Bentonville, Arkansas. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the ideal National Account Manager  candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of business development/account management experience within the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods industry ideally selling into either Sam’s Club or Walmart. a Bachelor’s Degree, and currently reside within a daily commutable distance to the HARIBO of America satellite office in the Bentonville, Arkansas metro area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow the HARIBO of America and Sam’s Club account and Walmart seasonal business
  • Maintain and develop long-term business relationship with Buyers and other key contacts at the Walmart Inc. corporate office to foster a sustainable competitive advantage for HARIBO of America
  • Consistently achieve sales goals and profitability targets
  • Partner with Sam’s Club to develop and execute promotional sales programs
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasts, monitor Trade Promotion funds, optimize sales efforts, utilize fact-based selling, analyze sales, create reports, and make recommendations
  • Utilize fact-based sales, sell utilizing category and market data & insights
  • Manage and develop seasonal business for both Sam's Club and Walmart seasonal promotions 
  • Located on-site at the HARIBO satellite office in the Bentonville, Arkansas metro area, the

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of business development/account management experience selling consumer packaged goods into retail channels
  • 1+ years of experience selling consumer packaged goods into Walmart and/or Sam's Club
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing IRI, Nielsen, or related syndicated data
  • Experience with Luminate, Retail Link, Madrid, or other Walmart/Sams’s Club specific sales data systems
  • Currently live within a reasonable daily commute to the HARIBO of America satellite office in the Bentonville, Arkansas metro area


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business development/account management experience in the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • 5+ years of experience selling into Walmart and/or Sam's Club 
  • Strongly prefer those with experience with FMCG, Fast Moving Consumer Goods
  • Confection, candy, salty snacks, or other related food category experience
  • Experience with seasonal business, creating seasonal business and sales promotions
  • MBA / Master’s Degree
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and growing work environment

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience pulling, sorting, and analyzing data from IRI, Nielsen, or other syndicated data
  • Experience with Luminate, Madrid, or other Walmart/Sams’s Club specific sales data systems
