We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager with a background in Workers Compensation and Compulsory Third-Party Insurance.

Job Description

As part of our high‑performing Customer Team, you’ll work alongside passionate colleagues across operations, product, and commercial teams to shape solutions that make a genuine difference. You’ll be the key strategic partner for a portfolio of national personal injury insurer clients, building deep, long-lasting relationships and driving growth through trust, insight and exceptional service.

This role will be based in Melbourne and is perfect for someone who enjoys thinking commercially, engaging strategically, and working with a business that backs fresh ideas and continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build strong, meaningful partnerships with national insurance clients in workers compensation and CTP
  • Lead the account strategy — from stakeholder mapping and relationship building through to planning, reviews, proposals and insights
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue through intelligent cross‑sell, up‑sell and solution design across both UHG and the broader MedHealth Group
  • Bring a strong commercial mindset to negotiations and contract discussions
  • Use data, customer insights and market intelligence to influence decisions and drive customer success
  • Champion innovation by collaborating with our internal teams to evolve products and improve service offerings
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring alignment between expectations, service delivery and performance
  • Represent UHG at industry events, customer site visits and national forums (with occasional interstate travel)

Qualifications

What You Should Have

  • Demonstrated experience working within the personal injury insurance sector including workers compensation and/or compulsory third party (highly desirable)
  • 3+ years working in an account management function
  • Demonstrated capacity to retain and grow existing customer revenue, and identifying new business opportunities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer leaders of various levels
  • Computer literate especially with the Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Customer focus by providing timely and professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work autonomously while also a strong team player with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of experience in an account management function
