We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Nanopore Account Manager (Northern India) to join a team of expert sales and market development professionals to deliver on commercial targets.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the internal and channel teams to address the needs of each customer and deliver outstanding account management support.
For this role, the successful candidate must be based in Delhi.
The Details…
The Account Manager will work with other experienced professionals as part of a distributed team to actively drive growth and awareness of Oxford Nanopore Technologies’ products. This individual will be responsible, along with the sales team for the region, for implementing a strategic business plan and delivering to agreed commercial targets within the Territory.
This role will focus on driving sales growth through established dealer networks and new customers in India. The position will be supported by the Customer Service, Technical Support and Applications teams. To achieve role objectives, you will be expected to undertake at least 50% travel across Northern India.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the account manager and regional Sales Manager to develop and execute a Plan to meet Regional Corporate Objectives.
- Lead and motivate the assigned territory teams to achieve installed base and utilization targets.
- Ability to deliver engaging in-person and/or web-based technical seminars.
- Opportunity management across assigned territory teams.
- Managing channel partners within the region effectively and working with Channel Partner field team.
- Management of top tier customer relationships and KOLs across broad fields of research interest.
- Provide regional feedback to key internal stakeholders, including Product Management and Technical Marketing teams.
- Ensure the team adhere to best practices for tracking, recording and documenting relevant commercial intelligence from all customer interactions
What We're Looking For…
- A BSc degree and/or Masters (in life sciences or genetics) or equivalent experience, a PhD may be advantageous but isn't required for the role.
- You'll have several years of genomics sales experience, preferably field sales and have worked with research/clinical life sciences and genomics customers.
- You will have an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, strong communication and influencing skills and knowledge of the life science and genomics market.
- Proficiency in English & Indian national language (both written/spoken) is must.
- You will be a great teammate and able to build positive relationships with others. Ideally, you have experience of working in a global team, and you're comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- You have a positive approach with a can-do mindset and are able to use your initiative as well as exercise good judgement and tact.
