Role Summary
The Regional Contract Management Leader reports directly to the NAM Grid Systems Integration Regional Leader and functionally to the GSI Contract Management Function Leader (CMFL). This is a senior leadership role for a strategically minded commercial professional with deep expertise in complex infrastructure projects and a proven track record in managing high-value, multi-dimensional claims. Operating within the GSI NAM region—a portfolio exceeding $ 5B USD —you will lead the regional contract management strategy, ensure superior commercial outcomes, and oversee the performance of the regional team.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
- Define and execute the regional contract management strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Proactively identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and legal risks across the project portfolio.
- Provide authoritative guidance on complex disputes, including multi-party claims, force majeure, and termination scenarios.
- Shape commercial positioning from tender stage through project close-out, ensuring flow down of terms towards suppliers, contractors and partners
Complex Claims Management:
- Lead the identification, negotiation, and resolution of high-value offensive and defensive claims.
- Utilize advanced delay, disruption, and quantum assessment methodologies to build robust claim positions.
- Coordinate with Legal and project teams to manage formal dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration, litigation).
Team Leadership & Process Excellence:
- Mentor and develop the Regional Contract Management Team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Define performance goals, manage staffing needs, and ensure workload optimization.
- Enforce rigorous application of standard work practices and quality procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen) and capture "Lessons Learned" to drive commercial excellence.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Administration from an accredited University or college.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in large, complex infrastructure projects (Energy, Power Transmission, Oil & Gas, or Industrial Construction).
- Demonstrated success in managing the full lifecycle of complex claims and leading high-stakes negotiations.
- Extensive experience with international frameworks (FIDIC, NEC, EPC, or bespoke contracts).
- Proven track record in regional or functional leadership, managing professional teams.
- Professional fluency in English (French would be a plus).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $193,900.00 and $323,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
