As a North America Senior COGS Analyst, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely, and transparent Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting across North America. You will be responsible for performing detailed analysis, validations, and reporting activities related to COGS, helping ensure compliance with accounting policies and corporate reporting requirements. In this role, you will partner closely with the NA COGS Controller, in-market finance teams, costing teams, inventory teams, and other finance stakeholders to support month-end close activities, variance analysis, profitability reviews, and standard costing processes. You will contribute to identifying trends, explaining performance drivers, improving reporting quality, and supporting decision-making while ensuring controls and governance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to Cost of Goods Sold reporting.
  • Perform detailed COGS analysis, including SKU-level validations and variance analysis versus Plan, Forecast, and Prior Year.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring COGS reports and commentaries to support business performance reviews.
  • Analyze cost drivers and provide insights into gross margin and profitability performance.
  • Support Price, Volume, and Mix analysis and assist in the consolidation of business insights.
  • Review inventory, manufacturing, logistics, tariffs, repack fees, and other COGS-related components to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Execute and document SOX controls and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Partner with Costing, Inventory, SMAS, Commercial Finance, and Controlling teams to investigate and resolve reporting variances.
  • Support activities related to Annual Standard Cost Setting (FLIP) and ongoing standard cost maintenance.
  • Assist with transfer pricing analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and automation within COGS reporting activities.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting requests for finance stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Support data quality reviews to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, supply chain accounting, audit, or related finance functions.
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting, Standard Costing, and COGS reporting.
  • Experience performing financial analysis, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.
  • Understanding of SOX controls, compliance requirements, and audit support activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with SAP and ERP systems.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
