Our team implements, maintains, and supports various software applications for our internal developers. We partner closely with our product team who are charged with making it easier to develop software. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our continuous integration pipelines and artifactory storage system. Additionally, you will partner closely with our product team who are charged with making it easier to develop software at Akamai.
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and maintain servers and applications
- Monitoring our production applications
- Improving automation around various tools the team manages and develops
- Identifying improvements in systems management and asset tracking
- Working closely with engineering to solve production problems.
- Implementing tools to help diagnose or mitigate problems.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
- Have experience working in UNIX/Linux distributed production environments
- Demonstrate experience writing code with scripting languages such as Bash or Python,
- Have experience with IT Automation tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack
- Show excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizations

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from CRC15,408,000 - CRC32,003,000/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
