Job Description

We are looking for an MVB Commercial Engineer, who will support the APAC commercial and sales organizations by developing high-quality technical and commercial proposals for Medium Voltage solutions. Working closely with sales, application engineering, and global business units, you will act as a technical expert for MV MCC, MV Soft Starters, and MV Drives, ensuring competitive, compliant, and customer-focused bids across the region.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop technical solutions and prepare quotations for Medium Voltage MCCs, MV Soft Starters, and MV Drive systems.

  • Build complete technical and commercial proposals using approved proposal and quotation tools.

  • Review customer RFQs, specifications, and drawings to ensure full technical compliance and identify risks, clarifications, and deviations.

  • Act as the regional technical focal point for MV products, supporting solution development, technical queries, and knowledge transfer.

  • Coordinate subsystem design and system-level integration to deliver optimized customer solutions.

  • Create, maintain, and manage technical clarifications and exceptions throughout the proposal lifecycle.

  • Support cost optimization initiatives by developing reusable engineering standards and solution templates.

  • Identify technical and commercial risks and recommend mitigation actions to ensure successful bid outcomes.

  • Collaborate with application engineering, project management, and global business units to develop competitive proposals.

  • Continuously enhance technical expertise by participating in training and sharing best practices across the team.

The Essentials – You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, power systems, or commercial/technical proposal roles.

  • Strong working knowledge of Medium Voltage Drives, MV MCCs, and Soft Starter technologies.

  • Ability to interpret and review electrical single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical specifications.

  • Experience reviewing and responding to complex technical RFQs within industrial environments.

  • Understanding of Integrated Architecture, intelligent motor control, safety products, and industrial networks.

  • Ability to deliver high-quality proposals within defined timelines while meeting cost and quality targets.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

  • Knowledge of harmonic mitigation techniques and advanced MV/VFD applications.

  • Experience with coordinated drive systems and heavy industry applications such as metals, cranes, paper, or mining.

  • Working knowledge of AC and DC drives for torque, tension, and load-sharing applications.

  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma, EHS standards, and basic project management principles.

  • Prior experience collaborating with global or regional proposal and sales teams.
