Position Summary
The Multimedia Instructional Designer supports the Organizational Development Team by creating visually compelling and engaging multimedia assets that enhance online learning experiences. This role collaborates closely with the Lead Instructional Designer and Digital Instructional Designer to bring course content to life through professional video production, graphic design, and storytelling.
In addition to producing course visuals, this position will travel with the Organizational Development Team to film and edit event-based videos—such as expos, lunch & learns, and agent testimonials—turning them into dynamic highlight reels and promotional content that showcase AssuranceAmerica’s culture and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Design & Development
- Collaborate with the Lead Instructional Designer to enhance course aesthetics and engagement by developing multimedia assets, visuals, and companion videos that align with the instructional objectives and overall course design.
- Translate complex insurance, compliance, and sales topics into clear, visually engaging educational content.
- Support course launches by integrating video, animation, and design elements that elevate the learner experience.
- Create storyboards, scripts, and supplemental learning materials for digital and blended training programs.
- Multimedia Creation & Production
- Film, edit, and produce high-quality videos, including training content, leadership messages, and culture spotlights.
- Travel with the Organizational Development Team to record video footage at expos, agent events, conferences, trade shows, lunch & learns, and other company functions.
- Capture agent testimonials and real-world success stories, transforming them into dynamic, sizzle-style highlight reels for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with the Learning Strategy and Marketing teams to ensure visual and branding consistency across all materials.
- Edit video content to be concise, emotionally engaging, and aligned with AssuranceAmerica’s storytelling voice.
- Develop avatar-led instructional videos, screen recordings, and simulations to reinforce learning objectives.
- Project & Content Management
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess training needs and ensure content accuracy in product overview videos.
- Ensure all learning content meets accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508).
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Research and implement emerging technologies, gamification, and AI-driven learning tools to enhance the learner experience.
- Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve course design and delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or related field .
- Experience:
- 2–3+ years of experience designing and producing multimedia learning content.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient with Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop), and Camtasia.
- Working knowledge of HTML5, SCORM, and accessibility compliance standards.
- Familiarity with voiceover production and avatar/video automation tools (e.g., Synthesia, Vyond, D-ID, Pictory).
- Video editing and operating camera equipment experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
- Must be able to remain stationary or move for extended periods of time.

- Must be able to work in front of screen for extended periods of time.
- Constantly exposed to various indoor and outdoor environments.
