Tasks and Qualifications:
  • Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.

  • Provide Support to our customers.

  • To produce PLC software and/or visualization systems.

  • To emulate and test PLC software.

  • To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.

  • To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user

  • To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications,

  • Provide technical guidance.

  • To maintain of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering as a minimum.

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a similar role (graduates are also welcome)

  • Hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.

  • Spanish and english fluent.

  • Understanding of PLC development tools (Siemens, Rockwell…).

  • Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.

  • Understanding of design requirements such as Machine Directive and its standards including safety standards.

  • Good understanding of distributed control systems.

  • Extensive understanding of software testing and emulation.

  • Understanding of automated warehouse desirable but not essential.

Special Conditions:

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Cooperate within the team.

  • Able to travel 70%.

  • Willing to learn about all Dematic subsystems.

  • Willing to do small R&D topic.

  • Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.

Note for candidates: We require full availability to travel and complete the initial 6-month training program at one of our Dematic locations in Europe.

Skills Required

  • Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering
  • Experience in a similar role (industrial automation)
  • Hands-on experience within an industrial automation environment
