Role Summary:
This role is key to develop and maintain the underlying infrastructure platforms required to support GTT’s Managed Services portfolio. Its main function is focused on the evaluation, design, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure solutions that host the centralized components of GTT's Managed Services portfolio.
Job Scope/Supervision:
The MS Platform Architecture team reports to the VP of Engineering in the Product and Technology organization.
This team works closely together with the product architecture and automation organizations to build new central infrastructure capable of supporting components of GTT’s Managed Services portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and development of GTT’s Managed Services infrastructure platforms
- Continuous improvement of the existing infrastructure platforms
- Last escalation points for operational support of infrastructure platforms
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of designing and implementing central hosting solutions based on the supporting technologies listed below:
- Virtualization (KVM, ESXi, Kubernetes)
- x86 server hardware (Dell, HPE)
- Layer2/3switching solutions (Cisco Nexus, Nvidia Mellanox, Aruba CX)
- Storage solutions (Netapp, Ceph)
- Backup technologies (Veeam, Netbackup)
- Linux (RHEL & Debian based distributions)
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
Advanced level of expertise in the following:
- Public Cloud Providers: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Private Cloud orchestration solutions (Cloudstack, Kubevirt)
- Automation of infrastructure deployments and configuration (Ansible, Python, Golang)
