In this role, you will:

- Owner of the customer experience and function as the central point of contact across internal and external partners to close on time.
- Effectively manage pipeline of customers and proactively address all necessary actions to close on time.
- Successfully engage with internal bank stakeholders, third parties, settlement agents via telephone to gather necessary information, documentation, clarify information & resolve underwriting conditions.
- Demonstrate excellent spoken and written communication skills and ability to conduct clear and customer centric telephone conversations to explain underwriting decisions, documentation requirements and next steps in the mortgage process
- Effectively handle both inbound and outbound customer and partner calls maintaining high levels of responsiveness and timely follow ups
- Demonstrate active listening skills to accurately capture information and address concerns
- Maintain accurate call logs, documenting key points and outcomes of the telephonic conversations for audit purposes
- Collaborate cross functionally with Processing, Closing & Sales teams for seamless communication and customer satisfaction
- Submit loan file to underwriting for review
- Ensure all compliance and underwriting guidelines are met
- Enter loan information into the system
- Prioritize and manage assigned pipeline to meet anticipated closing date and performance metrics
- Interact with immediate team, functional area and internal peers
- Act as an escalation point for lower level Mortgage Processors to resolve issues and provide guidance and training
- This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below
- Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Customer Service, Loan Administration, Collections, or Sales environment experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or more of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:
Experience in Loan Processing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of Home Lending processes - Mortgage production: origination, applications, processing, underwriting, closing, funding
Job Expectations:
The candidate must be willing to work within the US hours.
Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
