Description
The Mortgage Lending Servicer is responsible for performing mortgage loan support services including assisting members with questions, responding to 3rd party inquiries, processing payments and adjustments, disbursing insurance funds, processing routine transactions, and completing basic clerical duties. Tracks and obtains proof of insurance as required on member loans. Executes loan closing actions to ensure a timely and effective closing process. Maintains departmental records and files.
Position Responsibilities:
- Processes escrow disbursements for taxes and insurance.
- Processes closed loan disbursements. Sets up escrow accounts.
- Responds to member and 3rd party inquiries and researches accounts regarding mortgage loans, payments, balances, and escrow requirements.
- Funds mortgage loans. Processes mortgage loan payments, payoffs, and performs post-closing activities. Executes release of liens and subordinations.
- Maintains loan files, accounts, and organizes mortgage files.
- Resolves (or refers) requests and problems promptly and courteously.
- Keeps members properly informed of Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Maintains and conveys the Credit Union's professional reputation.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- General understanding of mortgage loans, including FHA/VA and conventional loans.
- Knowledge of related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.
- Basic understanding of accounting.
- Good verbal and public relations skills.
- Strong typing abilities.
- Good basic math skills.
- Well organized.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations
- Lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items
