• Own the field: Pitch, shoot, write, and edit impactful local stories that matter to North Platte and the surrounding Sandhills, ensuring our community’s voice is heard.

• Drive streaming innovation: Help shape our OTT strategy by creating unique content for connected TV apps, engaging a digital-first audience where they live.

• A "get it done" attitude: You’re excited by the idea of doing everything—news, weather, and sports—and you thrive on the variety of a small-market newsroom.
• Screen presence: Whether you’re behind the anchor desk or live on a smartphone in the field, you bring charisma, clarity, and a digital-first mindset.
• Technical curiosity: You’re ready to master ENG gear, non-linear editing (Edius), and newsroom systems (ENPS) to produce professional content on tight deadlines.
• Storytelling chops: You have a degree in journalism (or equivalent experience) and a passion for finding the "why" behind every story.
• Composure under pressure: When news breaks, you’re the calm in the storm, able to synthesize facts quickly and go live at a moment’s notice.
• Community heart: You’re genuinely curious about the people of Nebraska and want to make a real impact in a tight-knit, supportive environment.
• The basics: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are a must for this mobile role.
