Join BAE Systems' Air & Space Force Solutions and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team that solves some of the world's most complex technical challenges. For the eighth consecutive year, BAE Systems was named among the Salt Lake Tribune's "Top Workplaces" by our employees, earning special distinction for providing a healthy work-life balance for our valued employees. We work very hard to ensure this is a great place to work!
BAE Systems is looking for a qualified Systems Engineer to join our Mk21A Reentry Vehicle team. In this role, you will support defense acquisition and deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter at Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). As a key member of the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) IPT, your primary focus will be ensuring the Nuclear Surety of the Mk21A reentry vehicle.
We're seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in system engineering principles and processes and direct experience in nuclear surety. In this role, you will apply nuclear surety standards to critically evaluate contractor designs and deliver rigorous technical reviews of program deliverables (CDRLs). Additionally, experience with Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) and Model-Based Systems Engineering is highly desirable. Ultimately, this position prioritizes technical excellence and advanced analysis to deliver mission-critical solutions in direct support of our government customer.
This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of our nation's newest reentry vehicle, the critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability. A successful candidate is creative, flexible, and comfortable handling diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities. Job location will be at Hill AFB, Utah.
Additional responsibilities include providing weapon system expertise to conduct integrated, engineering-level assessments across the entire program life cycle-from design and production through to verification and maintenance. In this role, you will actively identify and mitigate design, production, and test deficiencies to ensure successful development and mission success.
