Role Overview
The MIS Executive – Recycling Plant will be the sole custodian and owner of all plant‑related data. This role is responsible for capturing, validating, maintaining, analysing, and reporting 100% of operational, inventory, and compliance data generated by the recycling facility. The position requires expert‑level proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI, strong control over inventory and basic accounting data, and the ability to convert complex plant operations into accurate, audit‑ready MIS and dashboards.
This role is mission‑critical for plant transparency, compliance, management decision‑making, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Single Point Ownership of Plant Data (Core Accountability)
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, accuracy, and traceability across all records.
- Maintain a single source of data for plant operations, inventory, processing, and dispatch data.
- Ensure real‑time or near‑real‑time data availability for management and compliance needs.
2. MIS, Reporting & Data Analytics
- Design, maintain, and continuously improve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual MIS reports.
- Independently develop and manage advanced Excel‑based MIS systems, including:
- Pivot tables & pivot charts
- Power Query & Power Pivot
- Advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, SUMIFS, etc.)
- Structured templates and automation
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards covering:
- Material inflow vs outflow
- Inventory status & ageing
- Processing efficiency & yield
- Loss & variance analysis
- EPR‑wise and customer‑wise tracking
- Present insights, trends, and exceptions clearly to plant and management teams.
3. Inventory Data Management
- Maintain end‑to‑end inventory MIS covering:
- Incoming e‑waste
- Work‑in‑process (WIP)
- Recovered materials
- Scrap and residue
- Perform daily reconciliation between physical stock and MIS records.
- Track batch‑wise and lot‑wise material movement for full traceability.
- Proactively highlight shortages, excess, slow‑moving, or abnormal variances.
4. Basic Accounting & Commercial Data Support
- Maintain and Support MIS related to:
- GRNs, delivery challans, internal transfers
- Invoices (input/output mapping for reference)
- Processing charges, logistics costs, and recoveries
- Support the accounts team with accurate data, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure MIS aligns with accounting records for audits and management reviews.
5. Compliance, Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain audit‑ready data and reports for:
- Prepare and maintain:
- Recycling and destruction data
- Input–output statements
- Certificates and supporting annexures (data perspective)
- Ensure zero data gaps during audits and inspections.
6. Data Controls, Governance & Improvement
- Establish strong data controls, validation checks, and approval workflows.
- Identify opportunities for MIS automation, standardization, and simplification.
- Continuously improve reporting quality, accuracy, and turnaround time.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive business and or compliance data.
Mandatory Skill Requirements
Technical Skills (Non‑Negotiable)
- Expert‑level MS Excel (advanced automation, MIS design, error‑proofing).
- Strong Power BI skills (data modelling, DAX basics, dashboards, visuals).
- Very strong numeric, logical, and analytical ability.
- Working knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Basic accounting knowledge relevant to plant and inventory operations.
Experience & Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Statistics, Data/Operations preferred).
- 3–6 years of hands‑on MIS experience, preferably in:
- Automobile OE dealer service workshop
- SPM Manufacturing plants, Engineering and MRO Plants
- Paint and Chemical Process industries
- Compliance‑driven operations
- Experience as a standalone MIS role is highly desirable.
