Your Impact in This Role :

·         Research process design for existing and new mineral processes taking into account all fields of extractive metallurgy: comminution, sizing, concentration, froth flotation, magnetic and electrostatic separation, and dewatering systems.

·         Assess and recommend the applicability of emerging and established mineral separation technologies, with particular attention to flotation and physico-chemical separation methods.

·         Plan, coordinate, and critically evaluate laboratory-, pilot-, and plant-scale testing programs, including internal and third-party test work.

·         Perform process simulations, calculations, and sensitivity analyses to support process development, optimization, and scale-up.

·         Prepare and reconcile mass and water balances for existing and proposed circuits; conduct process audits and performance reviews.

·         Develop conceptual and preliminary process flowsheets for new or optimized circuits, including selection and specification of key equipment.

·         Provide process engineering support for layouts, drawings, P&IDs, and interfaces with process control and automation systems.

· Having a minimum of a Master’s Degree or Equivalent with a study background in Mineral Processes.

Skills Required

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Mineral Processes or related field
  • Technical expertise in mineral processing methods (comminution, flotation, magnetic and electrostatic separation, dewatering)
  • Experience planning and executing laboratory-, pilot-, and plant-scale test programs
  • Ability to perform process simulations, calculations, sensitivity analyses, and prepare mass and water balances
  • Experience developing process flowsheets and specifying key equipment
  • Familiarity with P&IDs and interfaces with process control and automation systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and management skills (motivating without direct authority)
  • Safety mindset and commitment to workplace safety programs
