Role OverviewA Mill Labourer supports safe and efficient mill operations by performing physically demanding tasks, including material handling, equipment clean-up, lifting, climbing stairs, and working in an industrial setting. This role requires adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards while contributing to the overall productivity of the processing plant.
Core Responsibilities- Safely perform physically demanding labour work which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, climbing stairs and exposure to an industrial environment.
- Experience working in an industrial/mill setting is an asset, but not required.
- Follow Company policies and procedures while performing all tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s licence
- Williams Lake has a population of approximately 12,000 but services nearly 25,000 as it is a central hub for many outlying smaller communities
- Adult recreational leagues for many popular sports including hockey, soccer, and softball
- A fantastic trail network for mountain biking, walking, and hiking
- Dozens of nearby lakes for fishing, paddling, and camping opportunities
- Close by cross country and downhill skiing venues
