The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic Midstream Engineering Manager to spearhead the design, execution, and optimization of our gathering and transmission infrastructure across our Appalachian operations. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between reservoir forecasting and physical capacity, managing significant capital budgets and complex projects from concept to commissioning. You will lead a multidisciplinary effort to ensure our assets remain high-performing and fully compliant with DOT and PHMSA standards, all while driving the technical innovations necessary to support our continued growth. This is a premier opportunity to own the engineering lifecycle in a high-visibility environment where safety and operational excellence are our top priorities.
Location
This is a hybrid role based out of our Morgantown, WV office. You will work from the office three days per week, with occasional field visits to our operational sites in Pennsylvania and Ohio to support project milestones and site assessments.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Midstream Engineering Manager, you will serve as a critical link between resource planning and physical infrastructure. You will oversee the full lifecycle of midstream assets while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory integrity. Your core responsibilities include:
- Partner with Reservoir and Production teams to translate volume forecasts and drilling schedules into actionable midstream capacity growth plans.
- Lead the execution of capital projects (CAPEX) from initial conceptual design and engineering through construction, commissioning, and final startup.
- Support field operations through continuous hydraulic model reviews, pigging program enhancements, and the proactive identification of capacity constraints or debottlenecking opportunities.
- Develop and manage annual engineering and construction budgets, driving innovative, cost-effective solutions that never compromise safety, reliability, or asset integrity.
- Ensure all midstream infrastructure meets or exceeds PHMSA, FERC, and DOT regulatory requirements, maintaining a safety-first culture across all projects.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, facilitating seamless communication between Operations, Land/ROW, Environmental groups, and external contractors.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering is required.
- At least 10 years of engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically focused on midstream gathering and transmission systems.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, with a track record of mentoring technical teams and managing external vendor relationships.
- At least 4 years of dedicated experience in a midstream environment, including familiarity with hydraulic modeling and asset integrity management.
- Strong working knowledge of PHMSA, DOT (Part 192/195), and FERC regulations to ensure total compliance across all engineering and construction activities.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing multi-million dollar CAPEX budgets, with a focus on cost-effective project delivery and resource allocation.
- Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders, from field operations to executive leadership.
