As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a focus in Issue Triage you will:
- Apply and enhance methodologies and evangelize effective testing standards
- Hands-on test planning, bug scrubbing, troubleshooting, and defect submission
- Generate professional test results, metrics and status reports
- Analyze test results to ensure that the product functions per requirements
- Debugging to identify root cause of a test failure
- Communicate results and issues clearly across relevant teams and contributors
- Setup, configure, and maintain software test environments
- Generate efficient and effective reports for results, status, and metrics
- Work closely with rest of the QE team and provide technical guidance to peer QE members as needed
Stand in for QE lead to ensure testing and reporting stays on track as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience in performance testing and in-depth analysis of a system
- Passion for testing and quality assurance, with the end goal of delivering the best user experience
- Proficiency in software development life cycles, including waterfall and agile methodologies
- Strong test case development experience
- Proficiency in test tools like Jira or equivalent
- Understanding of wireless network topologies and protocols
- Excellent working knowledge of Linux
- Audio and video compression standards and tools
- Expertise in API testing
- Understanding of backend system architecture
- Experience with iOS and Android testing
- Exhibit strong analytical and exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and identify the root cause of test failures
