Overview of Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MicroStrategy Engineer to join our team for a 40 hrs/week 13-week contract. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing, Developing, Testing, and Deploying Dashboards and Reporting Solutions in the MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Working with Products from MicroStrategy’s Product Suite such as Library, Hyper Intelligence, MicroStrategy Developer, Workstation, System Manager, etc. 
• Comfort and familiarity working with and explaining best practices for the usage of newer MicroStrategy front-end interfaces, such as Library and Dossier, and their comparisons to MicroStrategy Web and traditional interfaces like Reports and Report Services Documents. 
• Working lightly with Data Modeling, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Work with clients and analysts across numerous lines of business to identify the best technical solution for a given problem or scenario.
• Migrating/Optimizing reports from other analytics platforms into the modern MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Run the Environment – Be knowledgeable in administrative tasks, as well as Application/Schema Object creation and requirements gathering.
• You enjoy solving problems and you think on your feet. You like learning new things, and can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience developing schema and application objects (metrics, reports, dashboards) in MicroStrategy.
• Experience with migrating Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Experience developing solutions that take advantage of Transaction Services is a plus. 
• Experience tuning outputs (reports, dashboards) to meet customer expectations and SLAs.
• Functional Knowledge of web-based technologies like Javascript, a plus.
• Ability to build high-performance dashboards and tune them to optimum speeds.
• Experience with MicroStrategy Developer latest version.
• Experience with leveraging I-Cubes.
• Experience with MicroStrategy tools (Object Manager, Integrity Manager, Command Manager).
• Experience with MicroStrategy Administrative Functions would be a BIG PLUS!
• Customer-facing role, excellent communication skills.
