As our Microsoft Cloud Platform Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we use Azure and multi‑cloud technologies to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable solutions across the organization.
In this role, you’ll partner with technology and business leaders to design end‑to‑end cloud architectures—from applications and shared services to infrastructure and emerging technologies. You’ll help define our cloud strategy, lead architectural decision‑making, and guide teams as they turn vision into reality.
As a Principal Architect, you’ll be a trusted advisor and thought leader. You’ll create both current‑state (“as‑is”) and future‑state (“to‑be”) architecture models and ensure the solutions we build today enable the business to grow, evolve, and innovate tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Stay ahead of emerging tech. Research new technologies, trends, and industry shifts—and bring forward insights that can help us innovate within your domain.
Collaborate with business and technology leaders. Work closely with key stakeholders to explore opportunities where cloud and modern technologies can drive meaningful business outcomes.
Turn ideas into architectural blueprints. Translate business and technical needs into clear, actionable architecture designs and document your work so teams can build with confidence.
Create architecture deliverables. Develop diagrams, models, and guidance that shape how products, services, and systems are designed, integrated, and delivered across the organization.
Champion architecture standards. Participate in defining and applying architectural principles, patterns, and governance practices to ensure consistency and quality.
Shape our cloud evolution. Build and maintain current‑state, transition‑state, and future‑state architectures for your area, helping teams understand where we are today—and where we’re going.
Serve as a trusted consultant. Advise teams on platforms, technologies, and vendor solutions that best support our business goals.
Spot risks and opportunities. Monitor systems and applications to identify technical debt, legacy constraints, and improvement opportunities—and recommend smart, forward‑thinking solutions.
Guide technology selection. Help evaluate and select software, platforms, and services, and support the design of both standard and custom configurations.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 7 years of related work experience in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or technical architecture; to include 3 years direct experience working within an Architect role
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications
- Experience identifying and applying design and architecture patterns in solutions
- Ability to communicate and present effectively with business and IT stakeholders to gain consensus
- Ability to define, plan and initiate architecture for assigned area and scope
- Demonstrate wide understanding of the domain area, with ability to apply practical and pragmatic solutions
- Self-learner and ability to work independently
- Experience handling a variety of solution types, such as new system builds, legacy enhancements, implementing commercial-off-the-shelf packages and integrating with Cloud solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA and/or PCI)
- Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
- Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery model
- Experience with software development life cycle and project management principles
