Job Summary:
Design specific infrastructure solutions to support the broader technical architecture of how servers, networks and storage systems work together to support the needs of the organization. Ensure that security, business operations and business requirements are taken into account. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical roadmaps, monitor infrastructure performance and suggest improvements where necessary.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage collaboration solutions using Microsoft 365, Azure, and other relevant technologies.
Understanding of or experience in email, security and compliance applications such as Proofpoint or Global Relay required
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency
Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
Participate in the development of architecture blueprints for related systems.
Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Skills:
Design and select storage, data center, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions
Configure and manage email systems, ensuring reliable and secure communication
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration tools and systems, such as Exchange, Teams, Confluence, Box, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed
Reporting, evaluation and review of systems via Alerts and Healthchecks
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in collaboration tools and practices
Project management skills
Azure command line experience preferred
Education
Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, High School (HS) (Required)Work Experience
