The Sales Manager develops commercial strategy, implements sales plans, and supervises the sales team. This role also has key account responsibility and supports key channels and business initiatives. This position is responsible for creating, supporting, and managing commercial structure of Sales Managers, while also mentoring and developing them.  The Sales Manager works closely with business directors to develop commercialization and market coverage strategies. This role serves as voice of the market to business directors, new product development, engineering, and marketing teams to inform new product development opportunities. This person will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to drive commercial efforts and achieve objectives developed by the General Manager to support the growth and profitability goals of the business. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans and pricing strategies in alignment with business objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers and Associate Territory Managers to drive performance
  • Oversee demand planning and forecasting disciplines using CRM and sales systems
  • Manage quarterly sales incentive plans and performance metrics
  • Analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and provide insights to leadership
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, IT, and Business Directors on commercialization and market coverage strategies
  • Serve as a key account resource and represent Worthington Enterprises with customers and industry partners
  • Track and communicate KPIs to improve competitiveness and team effectiveness
  • Travel regularly to support customer relationships, account coverage, training, and industry events
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong sales leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Deep understanding of CCS markets, including competitors, supply chains, and end users
  • Business development mindset with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Oracle Sales Cloud) and sales analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent the company at all levels
  • Willingness to travel domestically on a regular basis
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or
  • 3–5 years of related commercial or sales experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
