Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Specialty Thin Film is currently seeking applicants for a Manager of Technical Sales. In this position, the Manager of Technical Sales will help market, sell, and grow accounts for the Specialty Thin Film Division (STF). STF has decades of thin film manufacturing expertise used to produce a wide array of custom and standard thin film products for companies located all over the world. This role will help us find new customers that need thin film technologies to meet the challenges they face with their own products striving for high performance in Photonics, Electronic Warfare, Industrial, and 5G applications.
Job Location:
The Manager of Technical Sales position is a remote position with travel required. This role will cover the mid-Atlantic area including New York, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
What you will be doing:
· Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
· Supports customers by answering inquiries, communicating delivery dates, and explaining order details.
· Monitoring the results of sales activities against planned objectives. Reporting the results to senior management and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
· Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends.
· Maintains and improves customer service quality by following documented processes, recommends improved policies and procedures.
· Updates job knowledge by studying new processes and part numbers, participating in engineering and manufacturing discussions.
· Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing.
· Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets.
· Functions as a key participant in sales negotiations with major customers in order to close sales.
· Develop realistic forecasting plans.
What you will bring along:

· 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, RF, and/or microwave sales positions with a demonstrated history of progressive achievement.
· Technical bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in experience.
· Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
· CRM experience is required.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software tools.
· Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
