The Mexican Spanish Games Linguist role is to translate from English into Mexican Spanish in game content. This role requires excellent language skills, creativity and a passion for Games.

This position is In-house working on a client specific project expected to last 12 months, with potential for longer commitment. The role requires working at our Keywords office for the full duration of the project. Our office is located at Calz. Gral. Mariano Escobedo 218, Anáhuac I Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, 11320 Ciudad de México. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team focusing on in game content for a leading games publisher.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate, review and perform linguist tasks for in-game / non-in game content from English to Mexican Spanish to a high-quality standard 
  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved
  • Collaborate with other linguists on the project

Requirements
  • Native level Mexican Spanish speaker
  • Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Mexican Spanish and English
  • Passion for games industry
  • Educational qualification in linguistics or equivalent experience
  • Experience in translation, copywriting or linguistics
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
