Job Description:

The Metallurgical Lab Supervisor will be reporting to the Metallurgical Superintendent, the Metallurgical Lab Supervisor typically works a M-Th straight days schedule. This position has 4 direct reports (Metallurgical Technicians). This position provides both technical leadership and day-to-day oversight of metallurgical lab activities.  In addition, technical support for the VLFs and ADRs may be needed.  This position works closely with metallurgy, operations, maintenance, assay lab, corporate technical services.

Day to Day:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, and technical leadership for Met Lab personnel and activities.

• Maintain a strong safety culture within the Met Lab and ensure work is performed in accordance with CC&V safety standards and procedures.

• Plan, prioritize, coordinate and execute routine and non-routine metallurgical laboratory test programs in support of site operations and growth

• Oversee metallurgical testing, quality, and reporting for, but not limited to, bottle rolls, VAT leach tests, columns, recovery evaluations, cyanide and lime consumption testing, carbon testwork, PSDs and investigative / diagnostic metallurgical testwork

• Provide technical support for heap leach facilities, ADRs and other associated mineral processing operations

• Maintain appropriate QA/QC practices

• Coordinate with external labs for metallurgical testwork as needed

• Ensure appropriate documentation and retention of testwork procedures

• Utilize LIMS, historian, spreadsheets and other tools to compile, analyze and communicate metallurgical information

Is This You??

• B.Sc. in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of gold heap leaching and ADR experience required

Working Conditions & Location:

• Position based in the United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County Colorado.

• Must be able to work at high altitude.
