The Role: 

The MES Specialist is responsible for implementing site Manufacturing Execution System(s) (MES) and providing subsequent system support upon transitioning to operation phase. The candidate shall be involved in the installation and operational qualification of the MES system with its associated peripheries and interfaces. The candidate is also responsible for troubleshooting system issues and monitoring of interfaces between the MES system and the applications connected to it. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Drive operations to identify process gaps, quantify value opportunity and communicate desired outcomes 

  • Work closely with Entegris users such as process, manufacturing, and customer quality engineers as well as IT, external vendor, and outside resources to analyze and deliver technical solutions that meet the identified requirements to deliver value for our internal or external customers. 

  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements and internal standards for usability, data integrity, cybersecurity. 

  • Assist in the implementation of the site MES system from the Operational Technology (OT) perspective, supporting the Site Project Lead and the Global Core Team with activities inherent to the application’s configuration and documentation of all necessary SOPs. 

  • Contribute to the design, implementation and documentation of systems technology while aligning with corporate standards and industry best practices. 

  • Translate Product Owner requirements into application architecture thru feasibility studies, system configurations and workflow implementations, etc. 

  • Raise and execute change controls related to MES infrastructure. 

  • Provide support for the site MES system by means of solutions testing, UAT planning and troubleshooting of MES issues in coordination with the Manufacturing department, the Global Core Team and the MES vendor. 

  • Perform solutions and application testing including logging results in appropriate systems of record. 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces between MES and other systems such as SAP and LIMS. 

  • Perform deviation investigation and writeup on MES system failures / errors; deviation trend review and root cause analysis as required. 

  • Maintain the integrity of the MES system, including but not limited to performing routine maintenance activities (patching, updates, upgrades) and ensuring appropriate security standards are followed, while maintaining compliance to site good manufacturing practices policies. 

  • Conduct training for manufacturing systems such SPC, MES, and related applications to drive successful adoption of the manufacturing system applications and promote user resolution of issues where possible 

  • Support software and hardware new installation, upgrades, and improvement. Example: rolling out new application versions or replacing servers. 

  • Introductory Ignition, RJG Co-Pilot, MES integration training to maintain these HUBS. 

 

What We Seek: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, manufacturing engineering or related field preferred. 

  • Technical proficiency in multiple software applications. 

  • Previous experience with SCADA, MRP/ERP (SAP preferred), MES design, integration, and continuous improvement a plus 

  • Previous experience in the management of shop-floor devices (tablet, barcode scanners, label printers) in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment preferred 

  • 1-3 years applicable experience in Manufacturing role preferred 

  • 1-3 years of project management experience in system implementation preferred. 

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret work process procedures, customer reports, and general business correspondence.  

  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as statistics, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations as well as application to processes and designs. 

  • Solid understanding of statistics and application to manufacturing processes including statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), statistical hypothesis testing. 

  

Physical Requirements: 

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.   

  • Stand, walk, sit and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.   

  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

  • Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.

  • Compensation: $69,000- $85,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
