Job Summary
The successful candidate will be an experienced software solution architect having performed both functional and development roles in complex enterprise software at large organizations, preferably in the Pharma, Bio-Tech, or Medical Device industries. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and work well with internal customers and software vendor resources. The successful candidate will be a disciplined self-starter and will work with developers (both internal employees and consultants), system administrators, product owners, and operations teams to support the ongoing operation of the manufacturing facility suite of applications. This role combines software development, configuration, and customization skills with operational oversight and the ability to respond appropriately to both project tasks and operational support issues.

- Interpret/author business requirements, functional and technical design documents for projects.
- Architect and implement solutions for requirements across manufacturing facility suite of applications.
- Provide technical assessment for project requests submitted by stakeholders or business.
- Recommend how local applications can be best changed, designed and/or configured to meet customer needs.
- Undertake lead technical/BA/Test responsibilities in both patch deployment and major system upgrade activities such as evaluating/upgrading customization code and ensuring base package deployment is deployed providing seamless operation upon go-live.
- Well versed in the construction of reports, interfaces, data conversions, and customization or extensions to the manufacturing facility applications.
- Ensure new functionality and/or systems changes are tested properly.
- Work with software vendor for issue resolution and support patch deployment activities.
- Provide support for ticket escalations requiring technical resolution and troubleshooting through understanding of data models, system jobs, system design, data flow and web services.
- Work with the vendor or outside consultants as required to provide performance improvement custom solutions to enhance system capabilities.
- Follow IT compliance and team procedures to initiate change control of system changes to be implemented.
- In depth SME level support to ensure configurations, business processes, and system interfaces are functioning as intended.
- Document issues resolution with adequate details to support system audits.
- Provide after hour support as per operational support needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in computer-related field, (preferably in Web Based Computer Technology); or equivalent experience.
- Overall 5+ Programmer Analyst/Business Analyst/Test Lead/Solution Architect experience with Enterprise Software.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in API, Web Service and third-party integration architectures.
- 5+ years of Life Sciences business processes and applications, including designing solutions that work with MES (Apriso) and ERP (SAP).
- Experience in Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (or MES software) strongly preferred.
- Working experience with good knowledge of developer tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, confluence and Microsoft azure cloud environments.
- Working knowledge and experience with Agile Methodology.
- Strong understanding of communications, marketing, and customer service principles;
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;
- Experience in team-oriented, collaborative environments with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experienced in end-to-end application development and support tasks, working closely with both business teams and IT teams. Candidate must have experience gained from performing a functional role such as business analyst and a technical role such as technical analyst/system analyst.
