Job Description

AECOM EC Romania is seeking a dynamic and experienced MEP Team Manager to lead our team in delivering high-impact engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical excellence, mentor talented professionals, and contribute to the growth and innovation of our business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the MEP team, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Apply broad technical expertise across multiple disciplines, acting as a subject matter expert for the team and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Solve complex, novel challenges—often developing new or improved methodologies to achieve project success.
  • Implement process improvements and champion the adoption of innovative techniques and technologies.
  • Facilitate dialogue and collaboration across functions, geographies, and business lines, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results that impact both project and business area performance.
  • Coach and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Lead BIM/REVIT modeling and project documentation for MEP services.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design and building services, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficient in BIM/REVIT for MEP design, with experience managing BIM processes.
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards, including LEED, BREEAM, and other sustainable building practices.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative solutions in building services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  •  Advanced knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering projects within established timeframes and budgets.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on international projects or in a global organization.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in MEP engineering.
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and change initiatives.

Skills Required
