The Role: This strategic technology leadership position will have tremendous visibility within the company setting the strategic direction for the semiconductor memory segment across Entegris. The individual in this role will bring a deep knowledge of the industry trends and the future of memory device technology as well as assess long term industry and customer needs across all current and emerging memory platforms. This position will lead these efforts by providing the technical leadership for new product requirements, strategic engagements, and guidance for technical support across Entegris’s global technology portfolio identifying solutions for the most challenging problems facing the memory industry. The leader must be able to engage experts at industry leading customers to comprehend application requirements and then work with internal R&D and product leaders to translate them to inform new product designs. This leader will work with Entegris division and R&D leaders to define a portfolio of products and capabilities that meet the materials and integration requirements of advanced memory device applications. The position is based in Suwon, Korea.
In this role you will:
Develop and drive the corporate memory technology strategy for the company to achieve the highest performance level, as measured by NPR and key program success.
Successfully engage advanced customers, equipment manufacturers, and research consortia to comprehend leading industry needs that inform Entegris solutions
Define and execute long-term, cross-divisional advanced memory roadmaps and strategy that leverage existing Entegris capabilities and build new ones.
Create technical plans and actions to drive DPOR wins, revenue, and market share growth for key new products and initiatives.
Collaborate with key Entegris leaders across divisions to establish a comprehensive portfolio of capabilities and solutions needed for advanced memory materials and integration needs.
Work with the IP Legal team and Business development to identify development whitespace and M&A opportunities.
Actively contribute to corporate technical strategy exercises
Support technical engagements with external research partners
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or a related Engineering field
15+ years R&D and manufacturing experience in the area of memory device development with continuously increasing responsibility and oversight
Expertise and demonstrated success in a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing company
Collaborative leader, solicits ideas from groups beyond own area; considers impact of decisions on other functions/regions. Proven ability to successfully lead in a matrixed organization
Creative problem solver, encourages appropriate risk taking by team. Leads with tenacity and humility
A thorough understanding of memory integration technology
Identifies trends in data and makes data driven decisions quickly
Sets challenging team goals. Clearly communicates goals and associated metrics.
Exhibits appropriate sense of urgency, able to quickly prioritize
Track record of talent development, demonstrated commitment to building bench strength

Developing relationships with key personnel at Entegris’ customers
Your ability to seek out and develop partnerships with key technical partners e.g. OEMs, strategic customers, and research consortia
Partnering with internal leaders on the development of new product designs
Developing innovative technology and creating intellectual property on new products and ideas
Developing a high performing team by coaching and mentoring team members to perform at the highest level through a positive and interactive style fostering a collaborative approach to working within a team environment
Lead product development efforts which meet customers technical, commercial, and timing requirements
