What you are going to do
As a Medisch Adviseur Personenschade, you play a medical advisory role. You provide advice to the case handlers of the Personal Injury department. You analyze and assess medical files and provide independent advice based on your findings. You clarify the relationship (medical causality) between complaints and limitations following an accident (or other incident). Your expertise is essential in providing clear, independent advice to the case handlers. Based on your input, they can make a well-informed assessment of the injury. You work in accordance with the professional code for medical advisors and privacy legislation.
You also play an active role in identifying areas for improvement and fostering collaboration within the various teams in the Personal Injury department. Our team is easily approachable for case handlers.
In short: as a Medisch Adviseur Personenschade, you assess the medical aspects of personal injury claims.

Who you are
You are energetic, proactive, accurate, and strong in advisory skills. You act from intrinsic motivation and ownership, with a strong focus on quality. You stay up to date with relevant developments in medical science, including reading medical literature.
We also require:
- A valid BIG registration as a physician (GP or another medical specialty such as orthopedics)
- Extensive clinical experience
- Solid experience working according to Evidence-Based Medicine principles
- Certification as a Medical Advisor (RGA), or willingness to obtain it soon
- Experience conducting literature research using PubMed
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week (preferably full-time)
- Proficiency in the Dutch language
Who you will work with
You’ll join the Medical Advice team within the Personal Injury department at NN. The team consists of medical advisors, co-advisors, and a medical secretariat. We are hands-on and maintain short lines of communication. While you handle files independently, we share responsibility for the team’s workload.
