What you'll bring to the teamMedic / EMTBe the person people can count on when it matters most.

Do you have a passion for helping others, a calm presence in high-pressure situations, and an outgoing personality that puts people at ease?

Join our team as a Medic / EMT and bring your medical expertise to an exciting, fast-paced environment where every day is different. As a member of our medical team, you’ll provide emergency care to guests and team members throughout the park while working alongside medical professionals, security, fire, police, and other emergency personnel.

This is more than a traditional EMT role. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for families, children, guests, and fellow team members while helping create a safe and memorable experience for everyone who visits.

Qualifications & ExperienceWhat You’ll Do

As a Medic / EMT, you’ll be responsible for providing compassionate, professional emergency medical care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient confidentiality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide basic life support and emergency medical care to park guests and team members.
  • Perform patient examinations, assessments, screenings, and triage in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and Medical Director protocols.
  • Respond rapidly to medical calls throughout the park, back-of-house areas, and hotel.
  • Safely lift, move, restrain, and transport patients using stretchers and other medical equipment.
  • Operate medical carts to and from emergency and non-emergency scenes while maintaining due regard for the safety of patients, guests, team members, and yourself.
  • Coordinate patient care with fire, police, security, and other emergency personnel.
  • Assist with ride evacuations and support the security team when necessary.
  • Administer or assist with urinalysis (UA) and audiometric testing.
  • Maintain appropriate inventories of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Accurately and promptly complete patient care records, workers’ compensation paperwork, activity reports, injury reports, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with facility inspections, safety audits, and other health and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain current medical and technical knowledge through training, workshops, professional publications, and continuing education.
  • Protect confidential patient information and medical records.
  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, company policies, and established medical protocols.
  • Perform all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential, compassionate, and professional manner.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is confident, compassionate, energetic, and comfortable thinking on their feet.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and children, thrives in a busy environment, and understands that exceptional patient care also includes providing an exceptional guest experience.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in health services.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of a state-accredited or recognized EMT/Paramedic program.
  • Current Florida EMT or Paramedic license/certification in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, assess patients, triage based on severity, and prioritize care appropriately.
  • Ability to work effectively with medical, security, fire, police, and other emergency personnel.
Preferred Qualifications

The following experience and certifications are highly desirable:

  • Pediatric medical experience.
  • Emergency room experience.
  • Theme park or large-event medical experience.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, hazard communication, and safety training practices.

Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses must also hold at least a current Florida EMT license.

A Unique Medical Environment

Working as a Medic / EMT here is unlike working in a traditional clinical setting. You’ll be active throughout the park and may respond to situations in guest areas, back-of-house locations, and the hotel.

You should be comfortable:

  • Working indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions.
  • Working in temperatures above 95°F, high humidity, rain, and other inclement weather.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Moving quickly throughout a large park when responding to medical emergencies.
  • Working on a variety of floor surfaces and in different environments.
  • Safely lifting and moving patients and loaded stretchers.
  • Communicating clearly with patients, families, guests, and fellow team members.
Schedule & Availability

This position supports park operations 7 days a week, up to 365 days a year, with operating hours that may vary between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Required availability: Candidates must be available to work six days per week, including both Saturday and Sunday, during park operating hours. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and other times based on park operations.

Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Important: If you actually mean the employee only needs to be available six days per month rather than six days per week, this section should be changed. “Six days per week” is a significant commitment and will substantially affect your applicant pool.

Safety Comes First

Safety is everyone's responsibility. In this role, you’ll be expected to follow all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, medical protocols, and safe working procedures.

You must only operate equipment for which you have been properly trained and must promptly report incidents and cooperate with investigations when required.

Above all, you’ll be expected to put the safety, privacy, dignity, and well-being of every patient first.

Why This Role Matters

Every day brings something different. One moment you may be helping a child who needs reassurance, and the next you may be responding to an emergency that requires quick thinking and teamwork.

If you’re an EMT or Paramedic who wants to use your skills in an energetic environment, enjoys working with children and families, and takes pride in being someone others can rely on, we want to meet you.

Bring your skills. Bring your heart. Be ready to make a difference.Benefits
