Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance Marketing Shared Service CoE (Center of Excellence) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a digital customer leader. The function brings together Marketing Technology (Martech) and Demand Generation (Demand Gen) – a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty. This function brings traditionally outsourced to media agency roles inhouse and is a great opportunity for agency side specialists to make a career move. 

We are looking for an innovative and curious Media Hub Director to join our dynamic and growing global team and help us in our digital transformation and data democratization journey. 

Reporting into the Head of Demand Generation, Asia, the Media Hub Director is responsible for leading the Manulife in-house paid digital media hub for the Asia region. In this role, you will be overseeing a team of over 10 in-housed paid digital media specialists who are managing the paid digital media campaigns on behalf of the Asia markets within the centralized media hub. You will be the key person of contact for urgent issues and will work closely with the project manager to ensure key campaign milestones are delivered on time and meet the quality standards.  You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing the hub team to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality media services.  

 

As a regional leader, you need to embrace change, be innovative, and be eager to drive the best-in-class marketing solutions. You need to stay up to date with platform and industry changes, updating processes and ways of working inline with your analysis and observations and filtering these down to the media buying team. We're looking for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats at a time, can switch between different channels seamlessly, and can be a trusted and inspiring leader for the media hub. 

We are looking for someone with:

  • 8-10+  years of experience working on full funnel digital media campaigns across all paid digital media channels (search, social, programmatic, video etc.) 
  • 3+ years of experience leading & mentoring a large team, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field 
  • Digital Media agency background or experience working in financial services preferred. 
  • Progressive, digital-first mindset and strong track record of driving efficient digital media campaign and strategies that drive performance and growth across multiple channels. 
  • A proven track record of leading complex media buying projects with large budgets 
  • Demonstrable proficiency of paid digital media channels and associated platforms and technologies such as web analytics platforms (ex. Google / Adobe Analytics). 
  • Strong cross-functional management skills, comfortable collaborating with, managing and communicating with multiple international stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level. 
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key partners and vendors 
  • Excellent organizational and project leadership skills with proven ability to juggle between the details and big picture, manage multiple and competing projects and priorities. 

On the job you will:

  • Develop, manage and lead a brand new team of paid digital media professionals with skillsets ranging across paid search, programmatic, paid social, affiliate, analytics, ad ops and billing 
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team to ensure they are delivering high-quality media services. 
  • Act as the key point of contact for issues and work closely with the team Project Manager to ensure compliance with the campaign deadlines using Agile methodologies 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional senior stakeholders to ensure their campaign requirements are being met. 
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of the hub team, ensuring they have the right capabilities to deliver high-quality media services. 
  • Manage the performance of the team, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring to help them reach their full potential. 
  • Analyze and report on team performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address them.
