The Role
🚀 The Conference department from Bosch Security and Safety Systems is looking for an enthusiastic intern!
As a Streaming Media Engineering Intern, you’ll contribute to the design and development of a real-time audio-video broadcasting system using GStreamer, aimed at delivering high-quality live streams to platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and X via RTMP. This role offers hands-on experience with media pipelines, real-time encoding, and cross-platform streaming technologies, supporting the growing demand for scalable, low-latency live content in remote and hybrid environments.
🛠️ Your Tasks
Design and implement GStreamer pipelines for real-time audio-video streaming to RTMP-based platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and X.
Develop an audio mixer module to seamlessly combine microphone and system audio inputs.
Test and optimize streaming performance for stability, latency, and cross-platform compatibility.
Create clear technical documentation for the streaming system, including setup instructions and usage guidelines.
Assist in preparing a deployment guide to ensure smooth installation and configuration of the solution.
🎓 What You Bring:
- You are currently studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar direction;
- You have experience with C/C++;
- You have strong interest in video processing/video streaming and curious about image/video data and creating applications with it;
- You are proficient in English verbal and written;
- You are available for the minimum internship period of 6 months, preferably longer;
- You can work at our office in Eindhoven;
- You are based in the Netherlands, preferably in Eindhoven.

- You have experience with GSteamer, FFMPEG, or other multimedia framework;
- You have knowledge about computer network;
- Creative mind and a good organizer;
- Team player and able to work independently;
- Proactive and not afraid to take charge;
- Open attitude, suitable for an internationally oriented environment;
- You are interested in and/or have an affinity with technical products.
