The Media director will oversee our Digital & Traditional media initiatives. They will be working closely with the digital campaign managers and collaborate with client & internal stakeholders to plan, develop and implement strategies. The candidate will also need to formulate strong relationships with traditional vendors, negotiating preferred rates for partners as well as managing the buy end to end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies to support marketing campaigns and initiatives, across both traditional and digital media channels.
- Oversee the planning, buying, and optimization of paid media campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social, print, and broadcast.
- Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
- Lead a team of media professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and professional development.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, creative, and sales, to align media efforts with overall business goals and objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media planning and buying, and incorporate new strategies and tactics as appropriate.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance data, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners, negotiating rates and securing advantageous placements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures, in all media activities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings, promoting our brand and networking with potential partners and clients.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in digital media, with a focus on Social Media buying, Programmatic Media buying, and search ads.
- Experience working with more than one of the following platforms is an advantage: Meta, Google Ads, Google Marketing Suite, X, LinkedIn, Google &/or Adobe Analytics.
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading a team with demonstrated skills in leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in devising and implementing successful digital media strategies that drive tangible results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- A track record of delivering outstanding campaigns that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Agility in adapting strategies to suit different markets, cultures, and client needs.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, keeping abreast of industry trends and developments.
