Job Description

The SCE Media and Consumer Relations Manager is responsible for growing brands via mental KPIs by developing and delivering the most efficient support plans, together with partner media agencies, and based on central guidelines. The role also includes responsibility for building, retaining and strengthening trusted relations with consumers across South Central Europe countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Greece. 

The role reports to the Marketing Director SCE, closely working with Global media and Global Consumer care functions.

The role is based in Bucharest, Romania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Annual Media Strategies development with partner agencies; ensure agreed strategies and plans are set to efficiently deliver against marketing and media objectives, costs, and budgets; adhere to global media guidelines incorporating local specifics.
  • Work closely with partner media agencies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of plans and mental brand KPIs; lead mid-year and year-end evaluation sessions
  • Validate all media plans, ensure post-performance evaluation and address improvements needed with the partner agencies
  • Be part of annual negotiations together with agency with key media vendors
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to understand the challenges and find the solutions via media
  • Monitor and evaluate regularly competitive, media and vendor landscape to identify market opportunities; work with agency to build recommendations for JDE brands
  • Leverage best-in-class media research & tools to maximize results
  • Share best practice (local and global) among SCE countries and with global community
  • Work closely with global Consumer Care function to support smooth local deployment of global processes and to ensure high level of service for consumers
  • Learn from consumer’s feedback from social media channels and leverage via mental availability tools

For this role as the Media and Consumer Relations Manager SCE, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in either media agency (client service) or on the client side media function.
  • High level of proficiency in media planning, media buying and media research/insights
  • Proven track of record for making a brand and business impact with media tools
  • Result-oriented, driven to find the best solution, challenging status quo
  • Strong personal leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of English, fluent in Romanian
  • Experience of food & beverage or FMCG sector, multiple geographies is a plus
