Job Description

KLA is seeking Mechatronics Interns for Summer 2026 at our Ann Arbor, Michigan location. This internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the performance and capabilities of KLA’s inspection and metrology tools.

Interns will contribute to projects involving the design and development of hardware and/or software systems to evaluate mechatronics performance. You’ll work alongside other interns and engineers on a focused component of a larger initiative. Commonly used tools include LabVIEW, CREO, and MATLAB.

Desired qualifications/education (skills & experience):

Ideal candidates will have experience with one or more of the following areas:

• CAD design
• Control systems
• Finite element analysis
• MATLAB or python
• Experimental data acquisition/visualization
• Mechanical or electrical prototyping

Experience or interest in hardware design is a plus. Strong analytical skills are essential. We are especially interested in candidates who plan to return to graduate school in Fall 2026 to complete a master’s degree.

Requires less than 1 year of related experience

Base Pay Range: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Bachelors and Masters

The range displayed reflects the pay for this position in the primary location identified in this posting. Actual pay depends on several factors, including state minimum pay wage rates, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education level or training.
