The SUPERVISOR mission at Alfa Laval -Jubail Service Center is to coordinate all the activities both at shop and during site intervention. He is responsible for welding activities coordination too.
Responsibilities:
• Scheduling and coordination of all the production activities.
• Monitoring of the production activities.
• Coordination of the subsuppliers and subcontractors, in case of subcontracted activities.
• Welding coordination in compliance with ISO3834-2
• Assigning the job to the qualified welders and fitters.
• Delivering to the welder the documentation needed (WPS) and the correct welding consumables.
• Monitoring the welder activity in order to warranty the respect of the requirements specified in the WPS.
• Notify to the NDE Supervisor the incoming inspection activities.
• Supervises the workstation to respect the order,the cleanliness of and the efficiency and calibration of the assigned equipment.
Carefully respects safety, health and environmental regulations (ISO 9001, OHSAS, ISO 14001).
Competencies, Experience & Skills:
- Proven competency in mechanical activities.
- Proven competency in post weld heat treatments.
- Proven competency in hydrotest activities.
- Proven competency in welding processes: GTAW (tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding); SMAW (manual metal arc welding); GMAW (wire welding); FCAW (flux-cored arc welding).
- Industrial technical institute diploma or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in boilermaking and pressure equipment companies.
- Extended knowledge of technical drawing.
- Extended knowledge of english language writing speaking and reading.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing procedures including welding instructions (Welding Procedure Specification) in english language.
- Basic knowledge of the materials used.
- Basic knowledge of the main non-destructive testing methods (PT, MT, UT, RT).
- Good knowledge of quality management system ISO3834, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001.
- Accuracy, adaptability, flexibility, problem-solving ability, teamwork.
- Availability to work in shifts.
