Your responsibilities
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will become part of our Airports Project Engineering Department in Veghel. The Project Engineering Department is responsible for the execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical and electrical) of our material handling systems are implemented.
You will get the opportunity to work on interesting, international projects together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers (working under the supervision of a Project Leader). You will be responsible for translating sold systems into detailed system designs. To ensure safety, accessibility and functionality of the complete system, close cooperation with colleagues from other departments is key. During execution you will support the installation and commissioning team (either remote or on site). The challenge in this position is to achieve the right balance between the customer requirements, a feasible solution, the available budget and the right scheduling. Next to this, you are keen on continuous improvement of our products, tooling and processes.
Your main activities
- Create the Bill of Material, and ensure that your Supply Chain colleagues can deliver on time and within customer specifications.
- Complete the 3D design from sketch to customer approval.
- Solve any issues that you encounter, either during engineering or installation/commissioning phase of the project.
- Support the site installation teams with your knowledge (either remote or on site).
Your qualifications and skills
- Holds at least a bachelor’s degree and has 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering).
- An entrepreneurial spirit, anticipating and mitigating project risks, and dealing with issues in a practical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing in English.
- A cooperative mindset, enthusiastic to work in multidisciplinary, international teams, and like to share your knowledge with your coworkers.
- Willing to travel around 10% internationally.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4.200 to € 6.400 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
