Intern - Geospatial Data Science

The role is targeted at helping us scale a new solution. To do this, you will have to apply a your data science and big data knowledge, plus leverage the knowledge of your academic resources, to convert a great idea into a solution which can be scaled across extremely large spatial datasets, at a global scale. In doing so, you will play a key role in how HERE Technologies positions itself in the market with respect to spatial data and geospatial technology. The activities on this project will deepen your knowledge of not only geopatial technology and science, but also the automotive, transport and logistics industries. An unlimited opportunity to utilise geospatial software and platforms from the full Esri suite, QGIS, FME and all the open software you can eat.

You are a Geospatial Data Science ninja, who is willing to take on the challenge of joining an agile organisation that is doing groundbreaking work in the world of Spatial Data. Moreover, you should bring a selection of the following skills:

• A strong understanding of data science, especially geodata science and the associated statistical skills
• An uncanny ability to tell stories and deliver insights through the use of a wide variety of visualisation tools
• Experience with machine learning techniques, especially for spatial data
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, FME and/or QGIS (data analysis, spatial data visualisation, or similar)
• Loads of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge and exploration
• The ability to have fun while working in a team
• Documenting and presenting your work
• Communicating in English
