Mechanical Engineer Intern
Position Summary: Join our dynamic team at Graco High Pressure Equipment as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where you will work alongside our Mechanical Engineers to design, support, analyze and develop solutions to challenging problems with fluid handling equipment. You will build skills in machine design, failure analysis, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, and problem solving
What You Will Do at Graco HIP
Assist in new product development activities, such as:
Mechanical design ideation & collaboration
Hands-on support of project team prototyping & testing
HiP interns may do the following:
Design test plans and perform tests
Analysis of design to applicable standards (SAE, UL, etc.)
Analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (CREO, Finite Element Analysis, etc.)
Review of instruction manuals and product literature
Work effectively in a team environment
Assist in standard product support activities to:
Troubleshoot product problems in manufacturing, lab or field
Conduct tests and analyze results
Develop and implement design solutions to solve real problems
Develop knowledge of:
What it is to be part of a new product development team
HiP product line equipment & applications
Product development considerations such as product cost, project schedules, customer considerations in product design

What You Will Bring to Graco
Pursuing BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
