Packsize is looking for a part-time intern, for the remainder of the school year, to assist in the cleanup of the backend data of our CAD assembly models and drawings. These CAD models comprise the design and BOM of our automated packing machines. This position offers flexibility to work around class and test schedules with an anticipated 10 – 20 hours per week. If the position extends into the summer, a 40-hour work week would be anticipated. The position will ideally be filled by a student in a mechanical engineering program at a local college/university. This is an in-person position. Training will be offered where necessary.
Education, Experience and Skills Desired
- Student of Mechanical Engineering or related field
- SolidWorks experience a must
- Familiar with PDM/PLM helpful (3DExperience Platform)
- Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate in team environments
- Demonstrates design thinking and lean disciplines and mindsets
- Shows curiosity and humility
- Self-motivated and independent problem solver
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate integrity of 2D and 3D drawings and models used for sourcing machine parts
- Generate various formats of 2D and 3D Drawings and CAD models of large, industrial machines
- Validate models
- Save models to cloud storage
- Organize content
- Document work

- $25/hour
