Mechanical Engineer:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer III to lead scale-up and manufacturing initiatives for soft magnetic materials and stack assemblies in advanced technology applications. This role is pivotal in bridging R&D and full-scale production, ensuring high-performance materials are manufactured efficiently and reliably for use in cutting-edge products.

Primary Responsibilities Mechanical Engineer:

  • Lead process development and scale-up for soft magnetic materials and stack component manufacturing used in high-performance applications (e.g., EVs, robotics, aerospace).
  • Develop and document design of parts and fixtures used in the production of soft magnetic product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product design, and quality to transition prototypes into scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows, including powder metallurgy, lamination stacking, sintering, and heat treatment.
  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles to improve yield, reduce waste, and ensure product consistency.
  • Evaluate and select equipment, tooling, and automation for pilot and full-scale production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations or quality issues.
  • Support supplier development and qualification for raw materials and outsourced processes.
  • Document process parameters, work instructions, and validation protocols in compliance with industry standards.

Required For The Mechanical Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in soft magnetics, advanced materials, or stack assembly.

Preferred For The Mechanical Engineer:

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems.
  • Knowledge of magnetic characterization techniques and performance testing.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be well organized and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions, work with moderate supervision.
