Job Description

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including ACMV, plumbing, and building infrastructure, from concept through construction administration
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, system modeling, and performance analysis to optimize efficiency, energy consumption, and lifecycle value
  • Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and reports that meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and specialty discipline teams to ensure integrated, constructible solutions
  • Conduct site investigations and assessments to evaluate existing systems and inform design decisions
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs); provide technical guidance during construction phases
  • Select and specify mechanical equipment and materials based on project requirements, performance criteria, and cost-effectiveness
  • Attend project meetings, site visits, and client presentations to communicate technical solutions and address concerns
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain quality standards, share knowledge, and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
  • At least 1 year of relevant mechanical engineering experience in consulting, design-build, or industrial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and mechanical system design principles
  • Proficiency with CAD software and mechanical design tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary team environments
  • Willing to accept a 2 years employment contract if selected
