Job Description

AECOM's Mechanical Engineering group is seeking a dynamic, talented Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment to be based out of our Philadelphia, PA location.

  • Leads design efforts of the mechanical systems from concept through construction across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
  • Collaborates with architects, engineers, vendors and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepares and deliver high-quality drawings (AutoCAD and Revit), construction documents, specifications, reports and help in cost estimates.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Conducts site visits to document and evaluate mechanical systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 1 year. 
  • AutoCAD and Revit professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of related mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience as a lead engineer on project design, especially in transportation projects.
